BA/Jacob Blackstock, CEO & Creative Director
BA founded Bitstrips in 2007 and drives the company's mission to give people an entertaining and visual way to communicate online. Having started animating at age 6, BA has years of experience making comics, animation, movies, games and apps, and leads Bitstrips' creative vision and product roadmap.
Previously, BA was the founder of Core Matrix, an independent experimental media studio, and Dream Machine, an animation school for kids. When he has some free time, BA works as a visual performance artist, creating massive interactive animation projections in secret locations.
David Kennedy, VP Technology
David is Bitstrips' technical leader, architecting and leading development of both the front and back-ends of the company’s products. He also plays a leading role in Bitstrips' product and features roadmap. David has over 15 years of experience building websites and apps in the animation and education sectors. He holds a B. Math from the University of Waterloo.
Shahan Panth, VP Marketing
Shahan is responsible for overseeing marketing and business development at Bitstrips.
Prior to Bitstrips, Shahan briefly attempted a career as a comic artist, until he was told one too many times that poorly-drawn comics are no longer in. He also has extensive product marketing experience in social media and mobile, and holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
Dorian Baldwin, Lead Interactive Developer
Dorian is Bitstrips' interactive specialist and led development of the Avatar Builder. He is the award-winner creator of dozens of original web games, and has over 15 years of experience developing interactive online content. His career has been dedicated to creating fun and intriguing interactive experiences directed at both adult and youth audiences.
